Waltham Real Estate

Waltham played an important role in United States history as it was home to The Boston Manufacturing Company. This was the prototype during the 19th century for city planning and later became known as the Waltham-Lowell system of labor and production. Waltham is also known as “Watch City” due to the fact that the Waltham Watch Factory opened up in the mid 1800’s and was the first to use an assembly line in their production.

Today, Waltham is a popular area for many businesses along the 128 corridor. For its residents, the prime location along Routes 128 and the Massachusetts Turnpike has made for an ideal location for those who commute. The area is also home to higher level education institutions including Brandeis University and Bentley University.
